Metadata for research integrity

Research integrity means conducting research according to appropriate ethical, legal, and professional frameworks, obligations, and standards. The following metadata elements are particularly important for research integrity:

  • Updates (such as corrections, retractions, updates, expressions of concern)
  • Peer review reports, history, type, assets
  • Funding data (conflict of interest)
  • ORCID iDs (authors)
  • Affiliation (authors)
  • License data (full-text, abstract)
  • Clinical trials
